Comics are a language that can provide educators and students with an interesting didactic
and pedagogical resource that can help them in the development of pedagogical practices in
the classroom, enriching learning. From a survey and bibliographic analysis carried out in the
Scielo database, we aimed to investigate what the academic production says about comics
indexed in this database, in the period between 1997 and 2020. Among some results, 9
scientific articles about comics were found. Of this total, we found that 2 articles discuss the
reality; 4 refer specifically to teaching methodology, and 3 are related to the publishing
market. The theme is important, because it can contribute to expand a little more study about
comics, by unveiling what is being talked about, discussed and analyzed in the academic
productions indexed in the Scielo database that address this theme in educational research.
The research also concluded that the main contributions of the comics researched are related
to the beneficial use of this language as a didactic-pedagogical resource or teaching
methodology in education, regardless of the teaching level (basic education or higher
education) and the area of knowledge. However, one finding caught our attention: none of the
articles found addresses the arts (both the area of knowledge and the curricular subject) as an
object of study or, even, related to the research on comics. |
