To this end, students in the second year of high school at the João Carlos Batista State School, located in the “Quarenta Horas” neighborhood, in the city of Ananindeua-PA, Brazil, participated in a field activity around the "Quarenta Horas" River, 950m away from their school. During this activity, students observed the surroundings of the river and its condition concerning the landscape, cleanliness, silting, and surrounding community, mediated by the teacher who challenged them with questions related to habitat, diversity, ecological relations, among other contents related to environmental education. The socialization of the practice would take place in a later class; however, due to the interruption of face-to-face activity at school because of the Covid-19 pandemic, as occurred remotely, as well as the construction of comic strips elaborated by students addressing the issues raised during the field activity. The investigative activity is an action close to the student's reality, leading them to reflect, discuss, and build their knowledge consciously and actively. This activity was validated using a questionnaire called "Intrinsic Motivation Inventory (IMI1)" quantifying the student's satisfaction with the activity. From this experience, a didactic sequence was elaborated, evaluated by high school and higher education professors regarding the relevance and help for their educational practice. In the end, an experience report on the activity developed was presented, comparing it with the traditional method employed by the teacher's subject before performing this assignment. CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior O objetivo principal deste trabalho foi compreender como o uso de tirinhas no Ensino Médio pode despertar o interesse pela investigação científica, auxiliando na formação de estudantes críticos e cientes das etapas de uma pesquisa. Para isso, os estudantes do segundo ano, do Ensino Médio, da Escola Estadual João Carlos Batista, localizada no Bairro “Quarenta Horas”, Município de Ananindeua-PA, participaram de uma atividade em campo, no entorno do Rio Quarenta Horas, 950m distante da escola. Durante essa atividade os estudantes observaram o entorno do Rio e sua condição em relação à paisagem, limpeza, assoreamento e comunidade do entorno, mediados pela professora que os instigava com perguntas relativas ao hábitat, diversidade, relações ecológicas, entre outros conteúdos relacionados à educação ambiental. A socialização da prática ocorreria em aula posterior; porém, devido à interrupção da atividade presencial na escola, em função da pandemia de Covid-19, as discussões aconteceram de forma remota, assim como a construção das tirinhas de quadrinhos elaboradas pelos(as) estudantes abordando as questões levantadas durante a atividade de campo. A atividade investigativa é uma ação próxima à realidade do estudante, levando-o a refletir, discutir e construir seu conhecimento de forma significativa e ativa. A validação dessa atividade foi realizada com os estudantes, utilizando um questionário denominado “Intrisic Motivation Inventory (IMI1)” como forma de quantificar a satisfação quanto à atividade. A partir dessa experiência foi elaborada uma sequência didática, avaliada por professores(as) do Ensino Médio e Superior quanto à pertinência e auxílio para sua prática educacional. Ao final, foi apresentado um relato de experiência sobre a atividade desenvolvida, comparando-a com o método tradicional utilizado pela professora da disciplina antes da aplicação desse trabalho.
