Resumo:
The transport system is an important element for social contacts and is still a very important structural support for regional development. In addition, from the environmental point of view, transport infrastructure has, over the last two decades, been approached both as a villain and as a fundamental component for the conservation of natural elements. In the state of Amapá, with characteristics of relative isolation from the other regions of Brazil by land and the high costs related to air transportation, road, river and maritime routes are essential to think about the actions to improve inter- Regional and international levels aimed at regional development. Similarly, in the internal context of the Amapá territory, the road network and the Amapá Railroad, currently inoperative, are the two most important subsystems for the movement of cargo and passengers, having a direct proportionality relation with the production process in the chains Extractive, forestry and mineral, two of the main productive activities that depend mainly on these types of transport. The proposal of this work focused on understanding the relationship between the dynamics of these productive activities that drive the regional development with the transport system in Amapá. The research used a methodological approach that sought to analyze the historical-structural evolution of the transport system and its systemic integration with extractive, forestry and mineral chains with support in geotechnologies such as GIS and remote sensing. An analysis was made of the relationships between the transport system and the dynamics in extractive, forestry and mineral chains in order to clarify the interfaces of this relationship in the process of regional amapaense development. It was verified the existence of an economic development, established as a strategy of the authorities, based on an extractive practice focused on exports that perpetuates a process of dilapidation that also affects the spatial formatting of the transportation system. As results, a set of georeferenced data sets in vectors, satellite images and updated maps containing identification, functional classification and characterization of the amapaense transport system is presented. The research is intended to support territorial planning considering the methodological suggestions for classification and management of this transport system.
