Resumo:
The present monograph addresses the theme Environmental Education in the Teaching of Chemistry with the objective of investigating, in a qualitative way, how the teaching of chemistry is articulated to environmental education through the formulation of natural pesticides. Thus, the research methodology consists of a literature review with a qualitative approach, using a quantitative of three articles comprised in a period of ten years (2008, 2017 and 2018), which were analyzed with emphasis on the strategies used by the authors to link the teaching of chemistry and environmental education through the proposal developed. The results showed that the formulation of natural pesticides is an excellent strategy to link the teaching of chemistry and environmental education, as it allows a contextualized, interdisciplinary teaching and the use of an investigative experimentation with the valorization of natural products. Besides the environmental approach through contemporary issues, the development of a natural pesticide is the answer to the socio-environmental problem raised in each article, which further enriches this proposal, because it allows the formation of a researcher student, critical and participatory in society. Thus, it is hoped that this work will contribute preponderantly to pedagogical practices focused on the formulation of natural pesticides as a tool for articulation between the teaching of chemistry and environmental education.
