The present article was developed through researches where bibliographical
references were consulted, starting from the qualitative bias, in the area of Education,
with emphasis on the contribution of Paulo Freire to Pedagogy, using the reference of
Methodology of Scientific Work, author Gilberto de Andrade Martins. It was sought to
make clear, a more in-depth and more critical knowledge of Freire's works, essential
knowledge to which all Brazilian students have the right to have access, and to
appropriate during their academic trajectory, seeking to dialogue with different contexts
experienced in the area of education and didactics. It is verified that the access to the
cultural assets on the works of Paulo Freire is a means of personal sensibilization that
enables the subject, to take advantage of multiple languages making the individual
more open to the other, as a means of communication and expression of feelings which
assists in the development of critical thinking skills and abilities. It is noted that the
author of Pedagogy of the oppressed and many other classics was a paradigmatic
example of 'Education as a practice of freedom'. |
