Considering that Mathematics is seen as a difficult subject by most Basic Education students,
this work aims to show that it is possible to make it more attractive through the insertion of
daily life of students and a board game, with a focus on content of measures of central tendency:
mean, median and mode. Seeing some difficulties on the Basic Education, we’re interested in
a proposition that could be made to promote a better learning of the content of measures od
central tendency. For this, the methodology used was the bibliographic research in order to
show the potential of using everyday situations and games in the teaching and learning process
of Mathematics and to highlight the importance of guaranteeing the learning of Statistics
content in Basic Education for the benefit of the citizenship education of students. After the
application of a prototype of the game, named as Measurement Board, in a class of Mathematics
undergraduates enrolled in the discipline TCC II, the potential of the same in the teaching and
learning process of content measures of central tendency. |
