The present research deals with how the quilombola communities are in
historical contexts of resistance and struggle for land, characteristics that can be
evidenced in an agrarian geography perspective. Thus, the characteristics of the
territory and the identifications materialized in the socio - territorial survival history
of the quilombola communities of Jalapão - To, taking into account the historical
trajectory of the quilombos in Brazil, and the complexities and possible perspectives
of the quilombola individuals in the struggle for the final conquest of their lands. It is
also an attempt to understand socio-territorial dynamics and situations regarding
historical and geographical aspects. Pointing out materialities of Afro-descendant
historical ancestry that will help define the quilombolas and build a consciousness of
identity affirmation, in the perspective of Jalapão being considered above all as a
Quilombola territory. |
