This work aims to use gamification and serious games to increase the engagement of students in disciplines of programming logic, for this, we chose to gamificate a discipline in a virtual learning environment and by adapting a serious game to use in the classroom, in this way while the game motivates the student inside the classroom, the virtual learning environment motivates the same outside the classroom, complementing each other. It will be presented the basic components used for the construction of gamification solutions, the motivational theories that support gamification, besides its benefits and evils. The virtual learning environment chosen was Moodle, with a survey of the available plug-ins and which components they implement, as well as strategies for gamification of disciplines, which can also be partially applied in environments other than Moodle. The serious game chosen was Colobot, it was completely translated into Portuguese language to facilitate its use in Brazilian classrooms. A curricular integration of the game was carried out with an introductory discipline of programming logic resulting in the creation of customized missions that implement the curriculum items. Finally, the missions were made available in an online repository and the results obtained were strategies for gamification of disciplines in a virtual learning environment and the production of an educational object to be used in classroom. |
