The energy prepayment system is widely used in several countries, which, when used in specific situations has advantages over the conventional system. In Brazil, pilot projects were implemented to evaluate the system, when there was still no national regulatory legislation. Due to the importance of this system, in 2014 there was established are solution that regulates the prepayment system in the national territory. Therefore, this is the610/2014 normative resolution. Regarding the methodological choices, a bibliographic analysis of the international experiences was carried out. Considerations on prepaid system regulatory resolution in other countries were made, compared with the national proposal; in which the advantages and dis advantages of the prepaid system were identified in the scope of the power distribution companies and rural and low-income urban residential consumers. This paper also implemented the approximate calculation of the conventional metering system costs, listing the possible advantages and disadvantages of prepaid energy charging system implementation for specified consumers. Although the prepaid system in the State of Tocantins has not been implemented yet, itis envisaged that the introduction of this technology can be applied in the rural consumer, as well as in the low-income urban consumer units in the State of Tocantins, bringing monetary and operational benefits to consumers and power distribution company. |
