The same is located in the municipality of Tocantinópolis - TO region known as Bico do Papagaio, the distance between the village and the Tocantinópolis city is 18 km . The research will be linked to the Licentiate program in Education of the field with habilitation in visual arts and music of the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT) of the Campus of Tocantinópolis. The indigenous population of this village are Apinayé and belong to the macro - jê family. Its lands are bordered by the municipalities of Maurilândia, Nazaré, São Bento do Tocantins and Tocantinópolis. Within the Indian demarcations are found in abundance several streams that provides quality water to the indigenous communities scattered throughout Apinayé reserve, a fundamental element for the survival of these peoples, from the water resources present there. It is worth emphasizing that the methodology used in the research was qualitative-quantitative, which [...] "is defined as a conversation between one person (the interviewer) and another (the interviewee) or others as a small group or a family ". This methodology was of fundamental relevance, because it provided me with a closer contact with the locus researched, making it possible to know the environmental problems in the interior of the São José Village. In this region there is a dry tropical climate and a vegetation rich in babaçuais palms, which for many has been a means of survival for these peoples. It is worth mentioning that environmental problems have been damaging the environment, causing diseases to indigenous communities. In short, the research will serve as a theoretical and methodological basis capable of guiding future academics, indigenous peoples and public authorities to seek alternatives that contribute to the resolution of environmental problems both in indigenous lands and in other areas that are threatened.
