The educational activities developed during the prenatal period are relevant and indispensable, as this is an opportune moment for the pregnant woman to share orientations and develop a positive view of the parturition process. This paper aimed to identify in the literature the activities performed by nurses during prenatal care and their relevance in the preparation of pregnant women for labor. This is an integrative review of scientific publications between 2015 and 2018 in databases and virtual library, respectively: LILACS, BDENF and SCIELO. The following descriptors were used: health education, nursing, childbirth and prenatal, with the guiding question: what are the educational practices developed by nurses in prenatal care and their importance in the preparation of pregnant women for childbirth? As a result there are 6 scientific articles and 1 dissertation that meet the previously established inclusion criteria, showing the contribution of shared knowledge between professional and woman and the relevance to health promotion and transformation of the birth process. |
