Geometry is part of our whole life, where we look we can see that geometry is present,
whether in nature, architecture, the arts or technology the principles of geometry will always
be present. Understanding this is essential and necessary the teaching of geometry in the first
stage of basic education, which is kindergarten, since this phase is fundamental for the
formation of the individual. But in kindergarten there is no deepening in geometry studies,
which is just content that goes unnoticed, because, in most cases, there is not enough time
during the school year for the teacher to deliver the proposed content. Thus, the main
objective of this research is: to analyze how the process of teaching and learning of Geometry
in Early Childhood Education occurs at the Antonio Fernandes dos Santos Municipal School
of Tocantinópolis-TO. The use of interviews, bibliographic survey, observation of the classes
in that class. For this, the following technical procedures were used: bibliographic research,
documentary research and case study. In this research, the qualitative and quantitative
approach was used or as it is used by some authors, mixed approach. This research can bring
results, reflections that can help transform the reality of geometry teaching in early childhood
education, since understanding the importance of teaching geometry in early childhood
education may give rise to proposals, and projects to give teachers support to improve their
learning. classes But for this to happen it will be necessary for teachers to deepen them in the
classroom, so it is necessary for governmental authorities to create actions that can
complement teachers' training in geometry teaching, as well as offer more didactic /
pedagogical resources suitable for the teaching of geometry. |
