Resumo:
The migratory processes have always been constant and present in our history, it is undeniable that the various human displacements have contributed and continue to contribute to the cultural formation of peoples, and because of this process, it becomes difficult to define what would be a native culture of a people. The creationist practice of Tocantins developed on the basis of discourse, its territorial and ideological delimitations were created from its legal constitution. It urges to point out that, in problematizing migratory dilemmas with an emphasis on the Maranhão and Tocantins relationship, more precisely in the city of Araguaína, there is a need to listen to the agents who are the fruits of this relationship. Through the oral narratives it will be possible to understand how the migratory flow contributed and influenced the cultural, intellectual, ideological, representative and symbolic praxis developed in the city of Araguaína, as well as the effects of this symbiosis in the process of cultural transformation of that region.
