The city of Palmas has in its legal scope public areas for parks, conservation units and green areas, among others, demonstrating the commitment of the creators with environmental issues and the quality of life of the people of Palm. Only two urban parks are considered active in the capital. The existing parks are centralized in the northern area and are far from the denser areas that correspond to the region of Palmas Sul and do not have sufficient infrastructure. The implementation of an urban park in the areas surrounding the Nilton Santos Stadium, Olympic Village, Palmas Karting, would promote leisure, sports, culture and preservation of the nearby conservation unit. The location is privileged due to the centrality in relation to Palmas center and Palmas Sul. The Project seeks to cover the demand for public parks by proposing a draft urban green park.
