The present work deals with the view of authors who report the difficulties of teachers and
students in the teaching and learning of fractions in the initial series, and explana about the
theory of records of semiotic representations of the author Duval (2009). It aims to investigate
how teachers trained at the Federal University of Tocantins in the degree course in Mathematics
of the period 2018/2 in the campus of Araguaína-TO mobilize the records of representations in
the meanings of fractions and seeks to contribute with the knowledge of the scope of the
fractional meanings. It is a qualitative study whose methodology used to obtain the data and
information was through a questionnaire that aims to understand the particularity of the
responses of the participants addressed to the means representative of the meanings of the
fractions. Five subjects participated in this research, who answered the sequence of activities,
organized into tasks dealing with five meanings of the fractions (part-whole, number, measure,
quotient and multiplicative operator). The results show that the respondents operate satisfactory
knowledge about the records of semiotic representations. |
