The negative repercussions of political uncertainty and the current economic crisis in Brazil have negatively affected Brazil's commercial aviation, implying a drop in demand for air services, in other words, Brazilians have traveled less. With the reduction in demand for flights, the rise in the dollar, and the increase in costs for airlines companies, airlines have adapted supply according to demand, reducing the frequency of flights at airports through Brazil. This research aims to analyze the scenario of the domestic air market in Araguaína - Tocantins, where an exploratory field survey was carried out in air travel agencies and at the airport of the town, by using qualitative methods. According to the results, it can be noted that the crisis has directly affected the municipality's air system; airlines companies do not have remained in the aerodrome, that currently has only one airline company operating in the air terminal; demand and offer for air services show unsatisfactory numbers to the municipality. Este estudo apresenta o atual cenário da aviação comercial de Araguaína, no estado do Tocantins. As repercussões negativas da incerteza política e a crise econômica presente no país atingiram negativamente a aviação comercial do Brasil, implicando em queda na demanda por serviços aéreos, ou seja, os brasileiros têm viajado menos. Com a redução na procura por voos, a alta do dólar, e o aumento dos custos para empresas aéreas, as companhias têm adequado a oferta de acordo com a procura, reduzindo a frequência de voos em aeroportos pelo Brasil. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar o cenário do mercado aéreo doméstico da cidade de Araguaína - Tocantins, onde foi realizada uma pesquisa de campo exploratória em agências de viagens aéreas e no aeroporto do município, utilizando métodos qualitativos.
