This dissertation is the result of a project developed with the academics of the
University of Maturity of the Federal University of Tocantins (UMA / UFT / Araguaína)
and addresses one of the most discussed social themes currently: traffic.The project
appears as an opportunity to coordinate the parties interested in solving issues
arising from public roads, physical structure, norms and man. Since the man in
question are the elderly and the children for this purpose, he had a qualitative
approach in an action research, since it aims to carry out an action that produces a
solution to a social problem. Transit is one of the biggest social problem in the world,
Brazil is today in 4.a place, among the most violent countries in the transit. As it
passed through the stages of the process that led the project, the evolution of the
understanding of a group, especially the academics of the University of Maturity of
Federal Univesity of Tocantins (UMA/UFT Araguaína), who were willing to participate
in theoretical lectures, which presented all the elements that make up the transit, for
the recognition of the social impacts promoted by a violent tragedy, of the city, as well
as with their grandchildren and family member, in an intergenerational action. The
elderly, when passing on knowledge, and in a playful way for the children, are in fact
preparing them to the inhabitants of the cities of the future. Inhabitants who are
aware of the duties and rights that must be extended to public road, respect and
citizenship finally to discuss the transit is to discuss life, and the straggle for the
preservation of lives in the transit with substance and improve projects elaborated
with refinements of urgency, considering that every day lives are left by the way.
