Resumo:
The world energy issue associated with climate change has highlighted the need to rethink the world energy matrix. In this context, the technological investment in biofuel production becomes increasingly necessary, since the burning of fossil fuels, highly polluting, they are one of the main factors that contribute to global warming. In this context ally the search for a better use mainly waste generated in production systems the objective of this study was to evaluate the production of ethanol from different products obtained in the rice processing (broken rice, whole and unpeeled) taking corn as a reference, by enzymatic hydrolysis. For kinetics of glucose conversion ethanol maximum point was reached approximately 10 hours, where treatments have reached the highest concentration of ethanol. The treatments had higher concentration were giant rice with 46.03 g / L, Broken rice with 44.73 g / L and Brown Rice with 42.32 g / L, the average of both did not differ at 5% error probability by Tukey test. To this end it may be concluded that the use, mainly of waste from rice production chain, shown as an interesting alternative to ethanol production.
