Resumo:
The global geopolitical situation, the diversity of natural resources and the world trade in goods has stimulated, over time, the establishment of several international and regional organizations, including: the International Energy Agency (IEA), the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), the Statistical Office of the European Communities (EUROSTAT), the Energy Information Administration (EIA), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the United Nations Statistics (COMTRADE), some with specific purposes and others with broader purposes . These organizations are designed to collect and consolidate energy data from its member countries, according to uniform treatments, configured in Energy Balances and other communication tools. to collect and consolidate energy data from their member countries, according to uniform treatments, configured in energy balances and other communication tools. The analysis of the material of these organisms allowed to find the data collection forms and the units of measurement used and has also shown the evolution of solid biofuels in global and regional energy headquarters described in this dissertation. In this work, the exploratory, descriptive, explanatory, bibliographic and case study methods were used. As a final result, after access and analysis to data collection forms on firewood and charcoal consumption in different countries, such as the USA, France, Uganda, South Africa, Chile, Brazil and Paraguay, as well as the state of Minas Gerais, has shown the diversity of questions and measurement units, about firewood and charcoal allowing the elaboration another proposal of a more embracing, objective, comprehensive questionnaire, that could be universally adopted.
