This study aims at investigating the spatialities and temporalities of a carnival manifestation, from the perspective of the organizers, vendors, residents and participants of the celebration. Miracaxi is a micareta that in the lsat 22 years has been annually held in Miracema do Tocantins, 76 kilometers away from the state capital, Palmas of state Tocantins. This study first brings the historical context of popular festivals while belonging to the on context gaves renewed Cultural Geography field. Thus it presents the historical and spatial context of micaretas, also considered an off season carnival. The origin of this type of celebration dates back to the 15th century, in France, while the first reports about micaretas in Brazil are from the 20th century, in Jacobina and Feira de Santana, in the state of Bahia. Those celebrations later expanded to other cities in the Brazilian territory. For this study bibliographic and documentary researches were adopted, in addition to that, we applied questionnaires to the vendors who worked on the party circuit in 2019 and open interviews conducted with people from different scenarios such as organizers, neighborhood residents and the micareta creator. By doing that it was possible to outline the participants view in relation to Miracaxi. On one hand, for most of the interviewed residents the festivity is one of the moments in which the city receives many people and that brings days of joy. On the other hand the vendors pointed out the opportunities for work and fun that the party provides. As for the organizers, the celebration is considered traditional and important for the city, meaning extra income and a source of entertainment. De maneira qualitativa, a pesquisa apontou a opinião dos participantes em relação ao que pensam sobre a micareta são elencados os pontos positivos e negativos. According to the participants it is a traditional celebration that fosters local economy during that time of the year, but there are problems with security and also with the money spent by the organizers, which is not enough to cover the expenses. The participants also indicated some challenges they have such as the need to increase investments and security policies in relation to micareta. Therefore, the spatial relationship buit between the blocks around the micareta circuit in Miracema of Tocantins manifest in different ways, allowing that in the same celebration there are there are several territoriality, produced by different social group that share their joys and fantasies in the same space.
