The basic sanitation sector is one of the largest consumers of electric energy in Brazil, representing about 2.7% of total consumption in 2017. With the recent energy crises, it is essential to search for alternatives that reduce electricity consumption and consequently reduce costs for sanitation companies. For this reduction, operational efficiency measures and administrative measures can be adopted, the latter being responsible for providing significant savings in the energy bill without changing the operational functioning of the station. In this context, the objective of this study was to evaluate, through the creation of a tariff simulator, the reductions generated by the correction of the contracted demand and the correct tariff structure with the energy concessionaire. The analysis was made on a Simplified Water Treatment Station consisting of three separate consumer units, all of which framed in group A3a (30 to 44 kV), green structure. The case study evaluated the values of electricity consumption during peak hours, outside peak hours and the demands measured over a period of one year through electricity bills. |
