The Akwẽ people's environmental knowledge, researched in this present dissertation,
presents the historical reports and the experiences in the coexistence both in the past and
in the present in relation to hunting and fishing, arguing that they need to be considered
with a new look. With intense dialogues, it was possible to understand that for the Akwẽ,
all species of fauna have their owners to protect them. Therefore, this knowledge was
considered important for the Akwẽ who intend to hunt and fish to complement their
daily diets. |
