Resumo:
Education is the right of all Brazilians, whether citizens who live in cities or in the countryside. However, Brazilian public policies for the education of rural children and youth have long been relegated to the background. Thus, throughout the history of Brazilian education, it has always been sought to suppress the culture of this population, but thanks to the organization of civil society and social movements a new scenario is under construction for education in the countryside. A recent case was the inauguration of the Professor Fidêncio Bogo School of Full Time (SFT), located in an environmental preservation area (EPA) Lajeado Mountain Range, in the district of Taquaruçu Grande, municipality of Palmas state of Tocantins. This SFT was born with the innovative proposal of education in the field, with sustainable agroecological practices, for the Elementary School of 9 years. In this context the present work shows the results of the research developed with the objective of analyzing the Project of the referred SFT, trying to understand the process of planning, execution and implementation, which took place from 2013 to 2019, in relation to the basic principles of education in the field. National Policy of Agroecology and Organic Production (NPAOP), created in 2012. The methodology used was based on the qualitative approach, in the case study mode combining the techniques of the focus group and document analysis. The main result is the convergence between the TSI project 1 and the basic principles of the NPAOP, especially with regard to the goals of promoting the participation and monitoring of society in the development of public policies.
