Work Completion of course present proposes to study the inclusion of mental health in the context of primary care in the city of Miracema. Initially addresses on the democratization of mental health in the territory. Bringing even the historical rescue of changes in the mental health field, from the classical model of psychiatry to the postwar reform model, then observed the process of implementing the Reform Brazilian Psychiatry, and their repercussions for the conquest of Policy mental health. Soon after there is the strategic role of health workers to the consolidation of the psychiatric reform. In this sense, the research aimed to analyze how it has developed will mental health care in primary care, in Tocantins Miracema district, through community health workers, seeking from the research subjects will understand the same about Mental Health Policy, on the demands found in the territory and as to the importance of the CAPS to make to the execution of the professional. The methodology was based on qualitative analysis, through the application of semistructured questionnaire in basic health units in Miracema. The research was based on the theoretical Franco Basaglia guided by the criticism of exclusionary structure of asylums, and in the struggle for alternative services to this structure, and the social reintegration of institutionalized by this system.
