The Social Services, as well as many other professions, it is up to the task to confront the reality of Brazilian prisons, critical and ethical way through a theoretical competent practice and politically, enabling responses that exceed, also for professional performance this punitive system relentless violator of human rights. The problem of coping affirmation of human rights of the prison population supposed to be committed to democratic and emancipatory values of the population and seek to build a new form of professional practice in these institutions. In this sense, this monographic work aims to analyze the work of professionals who work in Palmas- Provisional Prison House PSPC / TO, which are part of the technical team, opposite the affirmation of Human Rights of individuals deprived of liberty. Brings consideration of the history of Human Rights, Social and Prison System Service. Emphasizes the challenges, the integration of various professionals in the system, laws, work process and reconciliation between work performance, family, institution and subject.
