Resumo:
With the counter-reform underway since the 1990s, social policies are targets of precariousness and scrap in neoliberal society, making policies poor for the poor. The doctrine, in vogue in the last decades of the 20th century, limited the State's action, which results in the provision of social minimums, when in fact it should provide basic conditions for the survival and maintenance of life and not precariousness. In times of capital crisis, fiscal adjustments are the solutions given to all the social collapse in force, which cause the scrapping of social policies with the de-financing and the accelerated deconstruction of social and labor rights, which means huge and disastrous losses for the working class. And social workers as salaried workers, who have the largest employer in the State, experience all this precarious work on a daily basis, both in relation to the lack of material resources and in relation to wage losses, as well as the non-implementation of the law that guarantees a working day of 30 (thirty) hours per week. The general objective of the research was to analyze the work of social workers in the hospitals of Miracema, Paraíso, Guaraí and Pedro Afonso in 2017. The methodology adopted was based on a qualitative-quantitative assessment, that is, tabulation was performed and analysis of the data obtained, using questionnaires. The results obtained reaffirmed that the profile of / of social workers is consistent with the historicity of the profession, that is, the vast majority of these / these professionals are women, who, in turn, have an accumulation of functions in society, which, even today, it is still shaped by patriarchal and sexist traits. They demonstrated that social workers need to take a stand in defense of their profession and their duties, opposing to perform merely bureaucratic and non-private activities that disqualify and mischaracterize the profession. And yet, they need to fight for recognition and respect for their professional autonomy in their socio-occupational spaces. For that, it becomes essential that all / all / the professionals not only know their attributions and / or professional competences, but that they always put themselves in defense of the profession and refuse any form of imposition that is contrary to what establishes the regulation law, code of ethics for social workers, the political ethical project and parameters for the performance of social workers in health, that is, any activity and / or action that de characterizes the profession and, consequently, the professional and keeps him / her away from their users and their goals as professionals. In addition to the need to unite the category for the defense of their profession, duties and working conditions, it is imperative that they also engage in the general struggle of workers in defense of social, civil and labor rights, as well as the expansion and scope of social policies, with increased funding so that it actually meets the needs of the working class, rights that in recent years have been cruelly and severely attacked.
