This study has as its theme, the teaching of Art in the school context: reflections on the first phase of Elementary School. In general sphere, it was sought to understand the teaching of Art in the school context, on the first phase of elementary school. Specifically, the goal was to learn about the history of Art teaching in Brazil and the introduction of this subject in basic education, to reflect about Art teaching and the teachers training and identify the challenges of its teaching in two municipal school in Miracema do Tocantins. For the study methodological development, the path was in three stages: It began with a bibliographical research, then, another work front was the analysis of the documents, especially from the school units, and finally the field research, which took place in two schools. A semi-structured questionnaire was applied to the teachers who teach Art on the first grades of elementary school. It was possible to conclude that this subject teaching faces some difficulties when it comes to teachers training teachers materials for the development of classes. Even so, it is possible to notice the commitment on the part of some teachers, so as not to prejudice the children´s teaching. |
