This work aims to analyze the reach of the Sustainable Development Goals - SDGs, by means
of the Politic-Pedagogic Project of the municipal schools in Dianópolis-TO, in an attempt to
understand how school education can contribute or hinder the process of accelerating the
implementation of SDGs in the municipality. For this purpose, the theoretical foundation
seeks to comprehend the connection between education and development, considering how
the social and human factor can add to local development, from the educational matter,
ensuring or interfering in the construction of sustainable cities. It is intended to debate and
discuss the Agenda 2030, from the Politic-Pedagogic Project, which enables education with
results to social transformation by developing the pedagogical activities included therein. As
for the quali/quanti method and exploratory applied to this study, it starts from the
characterization of the municipality and schools regarding social, economic and
environmental factors, the result of data collection from documents, bibliographies, and
through structured questionnaires. Lastly, in order to implement the Agenda 2030 and the
Sustainable Development Goals, it will be presented procedures related to the basic municipal
education, in the intent of raising the awareness of the local and regional community about the
importance of the educational process in promoting and achieving the Agenda goals proposed
by the UN until the year 2030, through conscious change of habits. |
