The festivities move a network of people and have their own potential to generate resources for both the municipality and the population. The religious festivals will be updated and incorporating modernizing elements. The festive space that was once a place of great pain and suffering, today has another meaning for the pilgrims who frequent the place. Among these transformations, the insertion of women in different functions in the “folias” was highlighted in this work. The musicality present in the festive spaces of Dianópolis provided for this work an analysis about the local identity, as an important element in the re-signification of the festive space, of the local arrangements and, also, as an available reserve, which generates and attracts construction resources. Thus, walking the paths of religious festivals in Dianópolis is an immersion in a multiple process of gradual production of meanings and knowledge building. Este trabalho analisa a construção identitária nas festas religiosas de Dianópolis que ocorrem na Missão, zona rural da cidade, a partir do aporte teórico de Stuart Hall (2004), Michael Pollak (1992) e alguns tópicos de Arturo Escobar (1999). Por meio da memória dos atores participantes, pretende-se relacionar a festa com a identidade local a fim de contribuir para valorizar os elementos da cena festiva, como a música, as danças, os ritmos e os agentes locais, analisando as variantes entre fé e desenvolvimento presentes no ritual festivo. Os festejos movimentam uma rede de pessoas e tem um potencial próprio para gerar recursos, tanto para o município quanto para a população. As festas vão se atualizado e incorporando elementos modernizantes. O espaço festivo que já foi lugar de muita dor e sofrimento, hoje tem outro significado para os romeiros que frequentam o lugar. Dentre essas transformações, foi destacada neste trabalho a inserção de mulheres em diversas funções nas folias. A musicalidade presente nos espaços festivos de Dianópolis proporcionou para este trabalho uma análise acerca da construção da identidade local, como elemento importante na ressignificação do espaço festivo, dos arranjos locais e, também, como reserva disponível, que gera e atrai recursos.
