Resumo:
This thesis aims to discuss time-space outside the modern and colonial domain. In this regard, the decolonial theories give conceptual support as well as the film El abrazo de la serpiente, which takes place in the Northwestern Amazon. The theoretical framework tries to establish an epistemology that prioritizes anti-colonial analyzes and the preference for Latin American theorists is due to the understanding that modernity / coloniality can be analyzed based on studies of borders to create alternatives for experiences outside Eurocentrism. In the approach of the film, the ethical dimension of human and non-human relations were sought to discuss time space and nature, therefore, the flower is an element of nature, but it is an attribute, a “human” feeling of hope in the search for another frontier between time-space. Accordingly, the discussion starts from the principle that time-space is also established as a Eurocentric domain and the slide towards issues of the nature of Environmental Sciences. In order to carry out the methodological treatment of the characters in the film, the dialogues of the characters were sought through discourse analysis as a principle for the construction of a discursive corpus of interpretation about time and space. Discursive analysis allowed us to consider the existence of two times: modern-colonial time-space and utopian time-space (ethnic time-space) and the implications of these temporalities-spatialities for knowledge in the field of Environmental Sciences.
