The current article refers to my own experience while studying in the Federal University of
Tocantins, Brazil, during the "supervised internship II" period, with children from elementary
school class 1. At this time I developed activities with Theater Game, giving special attention
to the works of the north american teacher Viola Spolin, which enabled me to apprehend a
wide range of game possibilities, having had a great lot of engagement and interest coming
from the children. In activities involving theatrical games, I understood the diversity of
children's ways of learning and relating to each other, as well as a variety of teaching
proposals. I could perceive the school as a space for children to experience their childhoods,
and the teacher's commitment to guarantee practices that lead to creativity freedom. As a
result, I found a complex field of action, as it deals with people in interaction, therefore,
demanding in training, planning and work organization. In addition to Spolin's work, and in
order to analyzing the experiences carried out during the Internship, I refered to other authors
such as Freire (1996), Koudela and Santana (2005), Koudela (1984), Slade (1978) among
others. |
