The present work presents a brief analysis of the book Bedtime stories for rebellious girls -
100 fables about Extraordinary Women, by Elena Favilli and Francesca Cavallo. The book is
composed of one hundred magnificent stories, although in this work there are specifically five
of them, fantastic stories, all the stories are extremely important and all of them should be
analyzed, however, for this article, the stories chosen for analysis are from women with
professions almost never occupied by women, so I highlighted the following stories: “Cora
Coralina - Poetisa and Confeiteira”, “Surfer - Maya Gabeira”, “Mary Kom - Boxerora”,
“Lella Lombardi - Formula 1 driver” and “Michelle Obama - Lawyer and ex-first lady ”. To
emphasize these stories, we use feminist theories to highlight the evolution of women, above
all, feminists who seek social equality, in which women and men can have equal rights,
without gender differences.
