Phosphorus is one of the most important nutrients in forage implantation, its effect can be enhanced with the use of nitrogen and potassium, it influences dry matter yield and pasture quality. Simple superphosphate is a source with high solubility, providing P in the amount required right at the beginning of fertilization for the cultivar. Therefore, the objective was to test the use of increasing doses of phosphorus in two application methods in the production, morphological and structural composition of Marandu grass (Urochloa brizantha). The study was conducted in a randomized block design in a 3x2 split-plot arrangement with 4 blocks. The treatments consisted of combinations between two modes of application and four doses of phosphorus, with total application in the first cycle and split application, half of these doses in the first cycle and the other half in the second cycle, with a rest period of 28 days for each evaluation with doses of 0, 30, 60, 90 kg.ha-1 of phosphorus, applied in the source of simple superphosphate during the rainy season. The total application of phosphorus at a dose of 90 kg.ha-1 provided higher total dry mass yield of Marandu grass, cultivated in tropical climate in the Cerrado-Amazonian ecotone. |
