Resumo:
The dwellings must meet the needs and requirements of the user, and the choice of materials used directly impacts the thermal comfort, among other factors. In view of the importance of this theme in the region of Palmas- TO, characterized by the hot climate most of the year, this work evaluated the thermal performance of two types of tiles: ceramic tile and concrete tile, through the normative procedure and measurements on-site prototype, according to the criteria defined in NBR 15.575: 2013 - Performance Standard. The experiment was carried out through measurements in test cells built according to the recommendations of the standard, at the Federal University of Tocantins. The data collection was done through temperature and humidity sensors installed inside the test cells, during the period of 3 days, during 24 hours a day. The purpose of the research was to verify, on an experimental basis, the feasibility of using ceramic tiles and concrete tiles in the region referred to the need for greater thermal comfort. It was concluded that both analyzed tiles did not reach the minimum performance stipulated in the standard.
