Resumo:
The concrete is one of the most widely used materials in the world, its application varies and demands caution. The exothermic nature of the hydration reaction grants to the concrete a potentially dangerous behavior if not well managed, when used in large volumes as of dams and foundations, which intensifies even further in regions with a warmer climate. The objectives contained the analysis of the thermic behavior, the resistance and specific characteristics of the structural element when built, in addition to traditional elements used, such as silica as an auxiliary filler and most importantly ice which replaces water in well defined proportions. From the information obtained in lab, this research aimed to unite the data in such a way to simulate it in the software HACON³, which was able to detail the potential occurrence of cracks in the structural element, the simulations showed intense reduction in the incidence of the pathological problem when there is thermic control using such ice as silica.
