Phosphorus is a macronutrient of great importance in the process of formation and
maintenance of pastures, in this context, the application of phosphorus, even in small
amounts, is essential for plant development. In Brazil, in general, the amounts of
phosphorus found in the soil are below what is necessary and, therefore, it tends to
harm this development. Currently, there are several sources of phosphorus available
on the market for application, even though these sources are varied, each case, each
crop, soil, the time when phosphorus is applied, the climate, all these factors will be
decisive for the replacement be efficient in improving pastures. Therefore, this study
aimed to address the benefits of using phosphate fertilizers for fertilizing pastures.
