For that, a bibliographical research was carried out, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. João Vidal de Negreiros Neto. This work aimed to qualitatively analyze the benefits of supplementation in animals in the rearing phase. The analysis of this study showed a growing need for supplementation of these animals at this specific age, not only by increasing the weight gain of animals, making the productive cycle of animals turn faster, but also the possibility of raising more animals in a smaller pasture area, increasing the stocking rate. And so, to make the animals arrive in slaughter conditions in the shortest period of time, with better carcass characteristics compared to animals grazing without supplementation. A suplementação com concentrado proteico e concentrado energético na fase de recria é uma importante ferramenta para potencializar os resultados de animais criados a pasto, pois as pastagens utilizadas no país não exploram todo potencial genético dos animais. Para tanto, foi realizado uma pesquisa bibliográfica, sob orientação do Prof. Dr. João Vidal de Negreiros Neto. Esse trabalho, teve como objetivo analisar qualitativamente os benefícios da suplementação em animais na fase de recria. A análise desse estudo demostrou uma crescente necessidade na suplementação desses animais nessa idade específica, não apenas pela potencialização no ganho de peso dos animais, fazendo com que o ciclo produtivo dos animais gire mais rápido, mas também na possibilidade de criar mais animais em uma menor área de pastagem, aumentando a taxa de lotação.
