This work seeks to understand and identify the communication mechanisms that
the Barra da Aroeira Quilombola Community uses as tactics to preserve its
history, and the importance of this history to ensure survival and territory for future
generations. Using orality as the main source, we used the method and
methodology of Oral History and identified that the community uses various
communication mechanisms to reaffirm its history and identity and also dialogue
with government sectors and institutions to ensure the access to public policies
and promote training that can bring income and improvements to their life quality. |
