The present work is the result of a field research carried out in a municipality in the interior of Tocantins, with the objective of analyzing the mental health care processes carried out in the territory, especially those aimed at people in severe psychological distress and their family. The interest in the theme came from the academic experiences and the desire to know how to care for this public in cities where there is no CAPS. We support the theory of systemic thinking because we understand that all aspects of health are complex due to the large number of interactions present in this phenomenon. The procedure used was observation, the semi-structured interview and the conversation circle with professionals that make up the Psychosocial Care Network, paying attention to the Community Health Agent because we understand that these are the professionals who work closest to the family. This is a descriptive study and the investigation led us to realize that, almost twenty years after the Psychiatric Reform, care in the territory is challenging and requires a lot of effort and commitment from those involved to achieve the expected results. Thus, we understand that the possibility of this care is full of challenges that can become obstacles if based on an objective view of the world and that the good articulation of the Mental Health Care Network is essential for the realization of this model. |
