This Course Completion Work (TCC) studies the Loop Antenna. All the theoretical
formulation for the infinitesimal and small loop is presented. It is also presented a stepby-step procedure to design the small loop antenna. Simulations were performed for the
element and array loop antenna. Values of radiation patterns, directivity and input
resistance are presented. The choice for loop antennas is due to its low cost, simple
implementation and noise immunity characteristics. The possibility to adjust the
impedance by adding loops in a coil is another advantage considered. Application for
the antennas presented in this work are: 1) Measurement Systems, 2) High speed
vehicles and 3) Broadcasting systems. Finally, the conclusions and suggestions for
future work are presented at the end of this TCC. |
