In this paper, we will approach the outsourcing process known as redeployment, in
view of the increased demand for deliveries in Brazil caused by the rise of e-commerce
in recent years, especially during the period of the pandemic caused by Covid-19.
Given this scenario, there is a need to carry out the delivery in a timely manner and at
the lowest possible cost, leading carriers to choose to outsource part of the services
provided. To understand the practice of redeployment, a bibliographical research was
carried out, based on the main studies that address transport logistics. In addition, an
interview was conducted to collect data from a transport company in Araguaína,
Tocantins, where the following topics were addressed: management of logistical
processes, management of operating costs, management of logistical information and
management of redeployment. Based on this study, we conclude that redeployment is
a process that seeks to maximize transport efficiency, reducing errors and providing
quality to the end customer, in terms of speed of service and care for the transported
goods. |
