Resumo:
The objective of this work was to show how the teaching of the EJA can contribute to the exit of the situation of social vulnerability. We show who is the public of this modality of education, what were the reasons that led these students not to finish their studies at the appropriate age and what motivated them to pursue their studies, that is, what they look for in this return to the classroom . What are your dreams for the future? We show, in this work, if the students of the EJA see the school a possible exit for their possible vulnerability that they are in the moment. In order to collect all this information, we conduct interviews (recorded in audio) and apply printed questionnaires to our target audience. We researched two schools in Araguaína-Tocantins, in order to know more about the teaching of the EJA. However, we could see how important this type of education is to those of the EJA, made up mostly of low-income students, as we will see later in this paper. We observe that students are looking for something better for their lives, and see in education, the way to that. So even tired after a day's work is at school that they seek knowledge and envision a better future. In this way, they hope to get a better job or even to enter the labor market to achieve better living conditions.
