This work reflects on the effects of meanings on the term “traditional”, and its derivatives
present in a supervised internship report. Having the central objective of identifying which references are triggered, when characterized as “traditional” practices are described in the writing
of the Internship Report I, verifying to which aspects these mentions are attributed. We conducted a documentary research with a qualitative bias, making a descriptive analysis of the cuttings selected here, based on studies carried out in the field of Applied Interpretativistic Linguistics, whose focus is on real language problems located, whether in the context of teaching
/ school, or outside it. In this way, we problematize the traditional forms of knowledge. For
that, we worked with the question: What notions about the traditional term do the students in
the analyzed reports punctuate? According to the analysis of the excerpts, from the reports consulted, some aspects were found out: as the excessive use of writing on the board stands out;
the excessive and exclusive use of the textbook, without any other apparatus; the interactional
problems between student and teacher, such as authoritarianism; the references to the construction of the teachers' identity; as well as the initial and continuing training of these teachers.
Through the writing of the reports, we identified several references attributed to the traditional
term, as well as we identified several other aspects related to them, such as historical, cultural,
political, etc., which demand a more refined look at the issue. |
