In view of the economic and nutritional importance, the pequi (Caryocar Brasiliense)
and its respective oil has been object of several researches at the present time. The
objective of this work is to determine through physicochemical analyzes as well as
the oil of pequi, being based on the Norms of the Institute Adolfo Lutz. The analyzed
samples were obtained in the cities of Babaçulândia, Jalapão and Araguaína in the
state of Tocantins. The analyzed parameters were acidity index, peroxide index,
saponification index, density and viscosity. The results of the Jalapão and Araguaína
samples are presented as based on the ANVISA standards and when compared to
current works, a sample of Babaçulândia has obtained high values in relation to the
others, which makes the same solution inappropriate for consumption. The pequi oil,
due to its consumption and diverse use, due to its physical-chemical goods and use
in medicine, as well as in the area of cultivation in the researches. |
