The interest in research arose after taking Afro-Brazilian education and culture, Education and Multiculturalism, Literature and ethnic-racial relations in schools and the History of Brazilian Education courses in the Pedagogy course, which discussed the ethnic-racial theme and Law 10.639/03. I start from the qualitative methodology and method of bibliographic research and field research in the analysis of children's literature, in carrying out conversations and observations in the school unit. The relational contact with the researched school took place through the intervention of teachers who work in early childhood education, narrating about the didactics and methodologies that the school uses in ethnic-racial discussions. The research showed that the representation of the black character in children's literature worked by early childhood teachers are represented by positive images, outlining the cultural specificities of Afro-Brazilian culture, despite some misrepresentations that are reproduced in books. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo, analisar como é trabalhada a representação do personagem negro na literatura infantojuvenil na Escola Municipal Mariano Morais, localizada na zona rural da cidade de Nazaré - TO. O interesse pela pesquisa surgiu após cursar disciplinas Educação e Cultura afro- brasileira, Educação e multiculturalismo, Literatura e relações étnico-raciais na escola e História da educação brasileira no curso de licenciatura em Pedagogia na UFNT, que discutiam a temática étnico-racial e a lei 10.639/03. Parto da metodologia qualitativa e método da pesquisa bibliográfica e pesquisa de campo nas análises das literaturas infantojuvenis, na realização das conversas e observações na unidade escolar. O contato relacional com a escola aconteceu por intervenção de professoras que atuam na educação infantil, narrando sobre as didáticas e metodologias que a escola utiliza no processo de educação das relações étnico-raciais. A pesquisa mostrou que a representação do personagem negro na literatura infantojuvenil trabalhadas pelas professoras da educação infantil são representadas por imagens positivas, delineando as especificidades culturais da cultura afro-brasileira, apesar de algumas representações equivocadas que se reproduzem nos livros. 2023-02-07T12:40:20Z 2023-02-07T12:40:20Z 2022-10-07 Monografia Simone Silva Torres.
