With only 30 years of emancipation, the state of Tocantins is still building its history and its early writers sought to produce a literature that reaffirms its identity. Nowadays, some writers have also turned a critical eye on the conjuncture of Tocantins' society. However, the literature in the State isn‟t consolidated, since the interaction between authors, works and readers is still precarious, often due to the latter's lack of access to works. Thus, this study was born from the reflection of the importance of disseminating the literary manifestations of Tocantins to society in general, serving as a bridge between the reader and the work/author, providing that the engaged poetry by Fidêncio Bogo achieves its purpose of awareness of the other. It is considered that the work Coluna Presta, published in 2006, is a representative of the poetry engaged in the State of Tocantins, because through its poems, the author militates in order to make the reader aware of a problematic society, comparing his fight with that of the revolutionary leader Luiz Carlos Prestes, but for another bias than the armed struggle. Struggle with poetry, with the word organized in verse, rhyme and rhythm. A presente pesquisa analisa a obra poética de engajamento Coluna Presta, do escritor tocantinense Fidêncio Bogo (2006), sob o enfoque da semiótica discursiva. Com apenas 30 anos de emancipação, o Estado tocantinense ainda está construindo sua história e seus primeiros escritores buscavam produzir uma literatura que reafirmasse sua identidade. Atualmente, alguns escritores também voltaram um olhar crítico sobre a conjuntura da sociedade tocantinense. Entretanto, a literatura no Estado não está consolidada, uma vez que a interação entre autores, obras e leitores ainda é precária, muitas vezes por falta do acesso deste último às obras. Assim sendo, este estudo nasceu da reflexão sobre a importância de disseminar as manifestações literárias do Tocantins à sociedade em geral, servindo como ponte entre o leitor e a obra/autor, proporcionando que a poesia engajada de Fidêncio Bogo atinja a sua finalidade de conscientização do outro. Considera-se que a obra Coluna Presta, publicada em 2006, seja uma representante da poesia engajada no Estado do Tocantins, pois através de seus poemas, o autor milita a fim de conscientizar o leitor sobre uma sociedade problemática, fazendo-se comparar a sua luta com a do líder revolucionário Luiz Carlos Prestes, mas por outro viés que não o da luta armada. Luta com poesia, com a palavra organizada em verso, rima e ritmo.
