Resumo:
The use of popular science texts (TDC) in science classes has been frequently discussed by researchers in the field of science education. Their studies show the potential of its use in developing skills that are important for the education of students. In this work, we have identified through a literature review, the amount of research carried out in the scope of the material and we sought to investigate the use of TDC in science teaching, regarding its reading strategies and evaluation methods. The Content Analysis proposed by Bardin was applied to identify and analyze the data. The results indicate that research on the didactic use of TDC lacks a more structured investigation on reading strategies for this type of material.
