Resumo:
This work was developed in conjunction with the undergraduate program in Mathematics, linked to the Federal University of Tocantins. The thesis in question seeks to investigate and explore the GeoGebra Software, and its contributions in solving Algebraic and Geometrical problems in Basic Education. The research was configured as an opportunity to induce reflections on the various existing ways to solve a problem, since Visual Resolution is valid, and can contribute to the understanding of Algebraic Resolution. GeoGebra appears here as an auxiliary tool for such resolutions, as it gives us support to dynamically manipulate objects such as points and lines, enabling a graphic and algebraic visualization of parameter changes. With regard to Education, it is possible to observe that technological advances have been driving profound social and structural changes, of different orders, in modern society. and an adequate and continuous training of education professionals using these technological advances, since there are many tools, including GeoGebra, that can offer many benefits for the teaching-learning process, and also for the continuing education of teachers. Based on the theoretical references presented and on a bibliographical survey, the production of data for this research took place in the context of problem solving with a focus on the use of GeoGebra in exploratory activities. For the development of the research we selected three entrance exam problems involving second degree functions, involving intersections of graphs, maximum and minimums. In the first intersection problem, we find the common point between two functions, with the help of the GeoGebra, varying the parameter, we observe the behavior of the graphics. In the second problem, we find out which is the straight equation that contains the vertices of the parabolas given in the statement. In the third question, two equations are given, and from that we discover their two points of intersection and the distance between them. In general, the assistance of GeoGebra in the Visual Problem Solving allowed us to analyze and explore discussions of the results obtained, in addition to observing that each resolution contributes to and complements one another.
