The distribution of water comes to everyone free of charge in Darcinópolis, since its foundation, that is, residents have the privilege of not paying tariffs for water consumption, on the other hand, this has been generating a great waste of water. To start the work, water-related readings were carried out in Brazil and in the world, photographic records of the water tank and artesian well in the city, participation in a walk to raise awareness of the use of water, then to qualify the research, a semistructured questionnaire was used applied to the residents of Darcinópolis, consumers of the free water policy; in addition to interviews with politicians, and municipal water-related officials. Having as some of the specific objectives, such as the process of free water in the municipality, and making sure the population is aware of the importance of the natural resource, in this way the interviews with residents were open, aiming to obtain the opinion / contribution of each resident interviewed. The results of the research were enlightening, and positive in that, in the opinion of 90% respondents, the city needs to establish a way to raise awareness among the population, through water use controls, or impose fines on homes that have water consumption. excessive, so it will not harm poor families in the municipality A pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar a política de distribuição e abastecimento da água em Darcinópolis-TO, destacando a sua gratuidade e como ocorre a distribuição aos moradores da cidade. A distribuição de água advém para todos de forma gratuita em Darcinópolis, desde a sua fundação, ou seja, os moradores possuem o privilégio de não pagar tarifas pelo consumo de água, por outro lado, isso vem gerando um grande desperdício da mesma. Para dar início ao trabalho foram realizadas leituras relacionadas a água no Brasil e no mundo, registros fotográficos da caixa de água e poço artesiano da cidade, participação em caminhada de conscientização do uso da água, em seguida para qualificar a pesquisa foi utilizado um questionário semiestruturado aplicado junto os moradores de Darcinópolis, consumidores da política de gratuidade da água; além de entrevistas com políticos, e servidores municipais relacionados a água. Tendo como alguns dos objetivos específicos, como ocorreu o processo da gratuidade da água no município, e certificar-se a população tem consciência da importância do recurso natural, dessa maneira as entrevistas destinadas aos moradores foram de forma aberta, visando obter a opinião/contribuição de cada morador entrevistado. Os resultados da pesquisa foram esclarecedores, e positivos de modo em que na opinião de 90% dos entrevistados, a prefeitura necessita estabelecer uma forma de conscientizar melhor a população, através de controles do uso de água, ou aplicar multas em residências que possui consumo de água excessivo, dessa forma não irá prejudicar as famílias carentes do município 2023-02-10T13:09:02Z 2023-02-10T13:09:02Z 2023-02-10 Monografia SILVA, Willianny Lemos.
