The present work highlights the importance of agricultural activities contained in the rural settlement P.A Costa Rica in the city of Wanderlândia-TO, from the perspective of building quality of life for the settled families, in addition to the evident benefits for the municipality from the activities. This research presents the trajectory of the settled families, their origins, the first moments on the land until the present day, revealing the struggles fought to conquer the land as it is today, pointing out the production model present in the settlement and the profile of the resident families. The objective of this work is to understand the importance of agricultural activities in the P.A Costa Rica settlement in the municipality and its productive, social, cultural aspects in the dynamics of the quality of life process of the settled families. The study is developed through qualitative and field research, based on the residents' life stories and published works in relation to issues in the Brazilian countryside. In this sense, the settlement is a necessary reality for those who need to have their income, family support. The example is the agricultural activities carried out in P.A Costa Rica, which made it possible to improve the lives of settled families, contributing to the municipality by developing job creation, and cooperating for local food quality. |
